Now this is a coaching tip so I will not be explaining how to shoot along the ground but I will be telling you through the air is always going to be better for all concerned. The impact in the head can be expected much more than a low shot. Boule in front of the target boule are not an issue as you have the sky as a barrier. You can hit boule on the side to take out boule in the direction you want. Also your boule is coming down onto the target. Chances are after impact it will go back up in the air on the bounce giving chance to clear your other boule in the head. Above all the only variation in a shot through the air is the player throwing the boule. Not relying on the lie of the piste and the odd stone here and there must be a good thing and provide consistent shooting.
